CHED TWG – X conducts evaluation visit at NBSC
Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon – The Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) was visited by the Technical Working Group of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office 10 on February 24, 2023, to assess compliance with the COVID-19 health safety standard for the conduct of face-to-face and hybrid classes. Furthermore, the team also examined the institution’s compliance with the standards set for each academic program.
The College President, Dr. Catherine Roween C. Almaden, warmly welcomed the guests as she delivered the opening remarks. Dr. Almaden highlighted the institution’s various activities and accomplishments in the fiscal year 2022. The NBSC executives, unit directors, and program heads were present during the program.
The CHED evaluation team was led by Dr. Arlita Amapola B. Minquez, Health Related Programs Specialist, together with Ms. Leonora N. Gomez, Supervisor for Business Discipline; Mr. Mark Godfrey D. Torres, Information Technology Education Programs Specialist; Engr. Elmer C. Lopez, Education Supervisor; Ms. Rose May T. Lumasag, Education Supervisor for Teacher Education; and Ms. Sarah Jane M. Libre, Education Supervisor. In addition, the representative of the LGU Manolo Fortich Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (LDRRMO) on the Safety Seal onsite inspection, Mr. Bryan C. Degamo, was also in attendance.
The evaluation included an assessment of the NBSC programs, documents, and buildings. The evaluation team also toured the campus to inspect the classrooms and other facilities. These are all necessary to ensure the safety and health of the students as the college transitions to blended learning.
